Dori Digenti MSOD, E-RYT-200 is founder and president of the nonprofit Breathing Space Yoga Studio, located in Easthampton, Massachusetts. Dori is a certified yoga and meditation teacher and writer. Dori’s approach to teaching yoga and mindfulness meditation are based on the study and practice of Buddhist and Gaian philosophies. Blending body awareness with creative sequencing, Dori intends her classes to be accessible, free-flowing, and inclusive for all bodies and levels of practice.Dori teaches weekly yoga classes at Breathing Space. She has also been offering yoga at Outpatient and Inpatient, Detox, Stabilization, Transitional, and Rehab centers; Community Recovery centers; and to incarcerated individuals in Western Massachusetts since 2016. Dori has an MS in Organization Development from American University, and a BA from Cornell University. She spent 25 years in higher education as a professor and faculty development director.
Yolanda Ramos, RYT-200, LICSW is a registered Embodyoga teacher trained at the Yoga Center of Amherst. She works with Breathing Space to offer yoga classes in the recovery community and on issues of diversity and inclusion. As a yoga practitioner for over ten years, her yoga practice is a healing tool that brings increase love, compassion, flexibility and peace. Having been introduced to yoga by amazing women of color, she is passionate about bringing yoga’s benefits to people who may not think yoga is for them and to communities of color. Yolanda augments her yoga practice with meditation, prayer and mindful eating. In addition to yoga, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking in nature, dancing and traveling. She has a MA in Social Work from Smith College School of Social Work and a BA from Vassar College. She is a licensed independent clinical social worker working with people in recovery.
Michael Stephens, MBA, Senior meditation teacher. Michael Stephens is a long-time Buddhist meditation instructor who has led weekend programs and meditation retreats for the past 35 years. He teaches Buddhist-inspired mindfulness classes at Breathing Space. Michael is the Ombudsperson at Smith College in Northampton, where he leads trainings and counsels staff and faculty. He is also a musician and offers multi-instrument acoustic music with jam groups and bands around Pioneer Valley.
